Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic has been in the headlines as much for its scale as for the controversies surrounding it. After the teaser dropped on January 8, coinciding with Yash’s birthday, social media was flooded with reactions, not just to the star’s rugged screen presence but also to the foreign actor seen opposite him in a bold, high-stakes moment. Now, that very actor, Brazilian model and actor Beatriz Taufenbach, also referred to as Beatriz Bach, has suddenly deleted or deactivated her Instagram account, adding fresh mystery to the film’s already intense buzz.

The teaser, titled Toxic: Introducing Raya, hints at a narcotics mafia backdrop packed with high-voltage action and international-grade technical finesse. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, known earlier for award-winning artistic cinema, Toxic marks her shift into a mass-action space, while also presenting Yash in a never-seen-before avatar.

What truly set the internet on fire was a sequence where Yash, as Raya, is seen in an intimate moment with a woman inside a car, just as a bomb explodes beneath it. Many called it the boldest visual of Yash’s career. While some praised the chemistry and daring, others questioned the necessity of such a scene and began digging into the identity and background of the female actor.

Amid early confusion, with some mistaking her for another foreign actor, director Geetu Mohandas stepped in to clarify that the woman in the scene is Beatriz Taufenbach, even sharing her photo and referring to her as “my cementery girl,” confirming her casting.

Soon after, however, Beatriz’s Instagram profile became inaccessible. Reports suggest her account has been deleted or deactivated. While no official statement has come from either the actor or the film’s team, speculation is rife that trolling, invasive comments, and sudden online attention may have played a role in her disappearance from Instagram. Observers also noted that her account earlier had limited followers and was set to private, unlike the explosive follower surge seen on wrongly identified profiles during the initial confusion.

Beatriz is making her Indian cinema debut with Toxic. Ironically, her sudden disappearance from social media has only intensified curiosity around the film.

Adding to the controversy, certain social groups and lawyers have reportedly raised objections to the teaser scene, calling it obscene and morally objectionable, and have approached the CBFC with complaints, though no formal action has been announced so far.

With the worldwide release locked for March 19, 2026, the countdown continues, and so does the conversation. If the teaser was meant to spark debate, Toxic seems to have achieved exactly that.
