Toxic: With a month to go for the release of the Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, the makers have revealed that the teaser for the film would be released on February 20. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is set to release in theatres on March 19.
The makers also released a new poster, which features Raya (Yash), in the midst of a bloodied land, hit by a blizzard. While the makers of the film have kept the plot of the film under wraps, reports suggest that the film is set in Goa, between the 1940s and the 1970s and chronicles a gang war.
The cast of the film also includes Rukmini Vasanth as Mellisa, Nayanthara as Ganga, Tara Sutaria as Rebecca, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, and Kiara Advani as Nadia, among others.
A short video glimpse at the film, which introduced Yash's character, is under criticism as the National Christian Federation recently lodged a formal complaint, claiming that certain visuals disrespect Saint Michael, an important Christian figure whose statue was featured in the video, and offend religious beliefs.
Yash has produced Toxic, and has written the film along with director Geetu Mohandas.
