On the occasion of director Buchi Babu Sana’s birthday, Shivarajkumar, who is playing a pivotal role in the director's upcoming film Peddi, has surprised the director with a premium GC wristwatch, reportedly worth around ₹1 lakh. The thoughtful gesture came as a pleasant surprise to the filmmaker, who later shared pictures on social media thanking the actor.
Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead, is currently in production. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is set against a rural sports backdrop and is said to be presented in a raw and rustic style. Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, while Shivarajkumar essays a character named Gournayudu. The film also features Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu Sharma in key roles.
The film is currently in its final stages of shooting. Though it was initially slated for a March release, production delays have pushed the release date to April 30.
Adding to the film’s scale is music composed by Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman, with the recently released song already amplifying the buzz. With strong expectations and positive energy surrounding the team, all eyes are now on how Peddi will perform at the box office.
