Kanakaraj, starring Anup Revanna in the lead, is progressing with its second schedule in North Karnataka. The film tells the story of a devoted fan of a Chief Minister and carries the tagline “Fan of CM”.
Produced by SR Sanath Kumar under the Sukruti Chitralaya banner, the film has story, screenplay, dialogues, and music by Dr V Nagendra Prasad, and is directed by R Ravindra.
The team is currently shooting in Belagavi and Gokak, where talkie portions, action sequences, and songs are being filmed over a 15-day schedule. Anup Revanna, Nimisha, and Manjunath Aras are part of this phase. The first schedule was earlier completed in Bengaluru.
Described as a family drama with a political backdrop, Kanakaraj has cinematography by Pramod Bharatiya, editing by KM Prakash, action choreography by Thriller Manju, and dance direction by Dhananjay.
The cast also includes Srinath, Ramakrishna, Padmavasanti, Girish Jatti, Yamuna Srinidhi, and Mimicry Gopi, among others.
