Actor Darshan, who is currently dealing with ongoing legal issues, will be absent from his birthday celebrations this year on February 16. However, his fans have decided that the day will not pass without purpose. The celebration will take a meaningful path through social service.

Darshan’s official fan page, D Company, has shared a detailed note urging fans to avoid flowers, cakes, cut-outs and fireworks, and instead focus on charity and community work. The note opens with a message of gratitude to fans, whom Darshan often calls “Celebrities,” for turning his birthday into a festival of social service year after year, a movement that has now become a model across Karnataka. It recalls initiatives such as food distribution at orphanages, donation of clothes and books, blood donation camps, and service at old-age homes, calling these acts the true identity of the D Boss fan family.

The message stresses that even in Darshan’s absence this year, his thoughts and values remain with his fans. It reiterates his long-held belief that true celebration lies not in flowers, cakes, cut-outs or fireworks, but in helping society. Fans are encouraged to choose an orphanage, an old-age home, or a centre for special children in their respective taluks and contribute whatever they can, including food, fruits, books, medicines, or even their time.

The note clearly states that there is no pressure to do something big. The smiles of ten children or the blessings of five elders, it says, are the greatest respect that can be offered to D Boss. It further explains why Darshan refers to his fans as “Celebrities,” noting that they have stood by him during difficult times and, more importantly, have stood with society.

Concluding the appeal, D Company urges fans to continue this proud tradition of social service and take responsibility for sending a positive message across Karnataka. The note underlines that fans’ unity, humanity and service are Darshan’s true strength, and calls on them to let their work speak, keeping their love for the actor alive through meaningful action rather than celebration.

That apart, Darshan’s film, Kariya is set for a re-release this week, on February 13 aligning with his birthday.
