Bigg Boss Kannada-fame and actor Eshani has unveiled her latest album song, 'Toxic Empire'. The song’s premiere and a press meet were held recently. Eshani, who stars in the track, has also lent her voice to the song.
Produced under the banner of AS Productions, 'Toxic Empire' is directed by Giri Gowda, with choreography by Santu Master and cinematography by Keerthan Poojary.
Speaking at the launch, Eshani said she wanted the song to have a bold and unique treatment right from the writing stage. She added that the concept was designed to work across languages and that the song is specifically aimed at an adult audience rather than families and children. The song has been made in Kannada, English and Hindi. Eshani also praised Santu Master for his choreography, describing his work on the track as exceptional.
Director Giri Gowda recalled how the project began with Eshani’s father, Chandrashekar, approaching him to make an album song for his daughter. The project later grew in scale after Eshani participated in Bigg Boss Kannada. He said the team initially wanted to create an international-style song, but what started as a small project gradually expanded in scale and reached a budget that was almost enough to make a film.
The song was shot on a specially created set at the HMT Factory. Giri Gowda also revealed that the team is planning to begin work on a film soon, adding that the album is their small contribution to the world of Toxic.
Vardhan Sampige said the song had been in the making for quite some time and highlighted Eshani’s connection with Kannada. Having moved to Dubai at a young age, Eshani learnt the language and has written, sung and acted in the track herself, he said.
Shivu and Abhi, who worked on the album, also shared their experiences of being part of the project. Director Pavi Poovappa praised Eshani’s performance and described the song as a crazy outing.
