The teaser of Rangasthala, produced by Dr Revanna and Mohan Kumar ML under the banner of Aghor Motion Pictures, has been released. Directed by Nithin Bharadwaj and starring Girki fame Vilok Raj in the lead, the film is an action drama. The teaser has received a response from viewers. The film has completed its shoot and is currently in post-production.
Rangasthala follows an unidentified man who arrives in the village of Adkathodi. His arrival leads to questions about a secret that has remained hidden in the village for years. As the mystery around him grows, the protagonist and his friends find themselves in conflict with the stranger. According to director Nithin Bharadwaj, this forms the basic premise of the film, with the rest of the story unfolding on screen.
Nithin Bharadwaj, who hails from Puttur, is making his directorial debut with Rangasthala. He grew up around music, Yakshagana and art. Though he initially pursued medical studies, his interest in cinema led him to study filmmaking at the LV Prasad Film and TV Academy in Chennai. He later worked on short films and advertisements before making his feature film debut.
Vilok Raj, who has acted in films including Girki and Daughter of Parvathamma, plays the lead role. Malayalam actor Manoj K Jayan plays the antagonist. He portrays a businessman from Kannur who comes to a small village in Karnataka with a secret purpose. His character appears humorous on the outside but has a darker side.
Shilpa Kamath plays the female lead. B Suresh, Sandhya Arekere, Harini Srikanth, Kushal BK, Soumya Poojari and Radhesh Shenai are also part of the cast. Enosh Olivera and Manay K. Maruthi have handled the cinematography, while Judah Sandy has composed the music.
