The trailer launch of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was not just about unveiling the promotional material. It also became a moment for the cast to talk about their experience of working with director Geetu Mohandas and co-actor Yash. Tara Sutaria, Balaji Manohar and Sudev Nair described it as one of the good experiences of their careers.
Tara Sutaria said the title of the film held a personal significance for her. Recalling how she has often been associated with a "Disney princess" image, she said it felt fitting that she was now part of A fairy tale for grown-ups. Quoting the classic Disney line, "A dream is a wish your heart makes," Tara said being part of Toxic had been exactly that. "It was a dream, and I think that's what all of us collectively feel. It's overwhelming and humbling to be part of something so special and such an incredible story," she said.
Actor Balaji Manohar thanked producer Venkat K Narayana, and Yash for what he described as an inspiration, saying the star's ambition and vision for the film had motivated everyone around him. Congratulating Geetu Mohandas, Balaji praised the filmmaker's attention to detail, saying every character had been treated with care. "Your ambition is inspiring and infectious," he said, adding, "Geetu, you've done a fantastic job. The attention to detail you've shown with every character is remarkable. It has been lovely working with all of you."
Sudev Nair echoed the sentiment, calling Toxic "a gift" for every actor involved. He said working alongside artists who excelled at their craft became a learning experience every single day. Thanking Geetu Mohandas and Yash, Sudev said he learnt immensely from both. "Watching Yash was an education in itself. He's incredibly generous. Whenever I had questions, he was always forthcoming with answers," he said, adding that working on Toxic felt like "a two-year education on a commercial film.
