The much-anticipated Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has been postponed once again, leaving its June 4 release slot vacant. As fans wait for a new date, that sudden gap has opened the door for a fresh contender, Mango Pachcha, to step in.
Releasing on June 5, the film marks the debut of Sanchii nephew of Sudeep. With its retro aesthetic and intriguing teaser already drawing attention, the timing has only heightened curiosity around the project.
Sudeep shared the official announcement: “Supriyanvi & KRG bring to you a tale told with fervour, grit and dedication." With dreams pulsing in their souls, the team chases the extraordinary in the ordinary. The story of Prashantha’s (Pachcha) journey to becoming Mango Pachcha. Best wishes to the entire team.”
Directed by Viveka, the crime thriller produced by KRG Studios and Supriyanvi Productions, is set in Mysuru and draws from events between 2001 and 2011. Shot entirely in Karnataka, largely in Mysuru, the film leans into a grounded, lived-in texture.
Kajal Kunder stars opposite Sanchii, with Mayur Patel, Bhavana, Harini Shreekanth and Jai Gopinath in supporting roles. Cinematography is by Shekar Chandra, with music by Charan Raj.
This isn’t the first time a Toxic delay has reshaped the box office. When it previously moved from its March slot, Love Mocktail 3 stepped in and emerged as a major success.
Now, with Mango Pachcha taking a similar slot, it is to know whether it can repeat that success.
