The buzz around 666: Operation Dream Theatre is picking up pace, this time with a disco rhythm. Hemanth M Rao has begun shooting a song sequence that marks a clear shift in tone. Known for his understated storytelling, Hemanth Rao is stepping into a more stylised space, where a sprawling retro set now anchors the production.
Dhananjaya leads the film, with Shivarajkumar in a key role, alongside Priyanka Mohan and Aditi Balan. The ensemble has kept the film in steady conversation, but this song is set out to be a highlight. Teased as having a retro heart and disco soul, it signals both scale and a new visual energy.
Choreographer Imran Sardariya describes it as an integral narrative piece that blends storytelling with movement. Set to music by Charan Raj, the track leans into a commercial retro style while aiming for a distinct treatment.
Production designer Vishwas Kashyap has created a theatre-inspired set defined by symmetry and sweeping curves. Twin staircases, circular motifs, and layered balconies give it a vintage cinematic feel. It is one of nine large sets built for the film and serves as a key narrative space.
Hemanth M Rao admits the sequence pushes him beyond familiar territory. Backed by producer Vaishak J Gowda under Vaishak J Films, the film is mounted on a large scale. Planned for a late 2026 release in Kannada and Telugu, 666: Operation Dream Theatre is shaping up as an ambitious, high-stakes entertainer.
