RC Studios’ upcoming film Father, which has been drawing attention for its unusual premise, has completed dubbing and is moving steadily through post-production.
The film stars Prakash Raj and Darling Krishna, with Prakash Raj recently finishing his dubbing work, at his studio in Srirangapatna. He takes on the titular role, bringing his characteristic screen presence to a part that is expected to anchor the film.
For Darling Krishna, the film arrives at a time when Love Mocktail 3 has performed well, giving him strong visibility with audiences. With Father, he moves into a space that focuses on relationships, while still staying within a zone that has connected with viewers before.
The makers have started promotions, and are preparing for a theatrical release soon. The first look and teaser, unveiled by Sudeep, have already offered a sense of the film’s tone, which leans more on emotion than scale.
The story looks at the bond between a father and son, placing their relationship at the centre of the narrative. Alongside Krishna, Amrutha Iyengar plays a key role, and the film also features a supporting cast made up of familiar faces.
Producer Chandru, whose films have built a steady audience over time, backs the project under the RC Studios banner. The film is presented by Anand Pandit, in association with Alankar Pandian.
Directed by Raj Mohan, Father has cinematography by Sujnan and music by Nakul Abhyankar. With dubbing now complete and promotional activity picking up, the film is getting ready to head to theatres soon.
