Life Today is a new-age romance directed by Kantha Kannalli and made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil. The film recently introduced its Kannada track, 'Sikkare, Sikkare… Olle Hudugru Sikkare', sung by director Prem, who is also known as a singer. The track, recently recorded, is composed by Sridhar V Sambhram with lyrics by Ram Narayan.
Prem, on taking up singing for Life Today, said he immediately felt the track carried the energy of a hit. Calling it a gesture of encouragement, he added that supporting a new team through music was something he enjoyed.
The director-singer also addressed recent reports about his singing fee. “When singers come from Mumbai, directors here are ready to pay any amount. Why not for singers from here? Whatever I earn from singing goes directly into my mother’s trust, which is used for social work,” Prem said.
Composer Sambhram described having Prem’s voice on the album as a highlight. “I’ve been a fan of his singing. His voice carries both innocence and depth, which suited this song perfectly. I believe the Life Today album will connect well with audiences,” he shared.
Produced by Pradeep, the film stars Kiran Adithya opposite Lekhachandra, with Ratharv, Tabla Nani, Apoorva, Cockroach Sudhi, and Jaggappa in the cast. Cinematography is by Guruprasad.
The team has launched promotions with this track and will continue to share details as the release draws closer. According to the makers, Life Today aims to present a story that combines contemporary themes with youthful entertainment.
