Darshan made his debut as the lead in 2002 with Majestic. Over two decades later, the actor is back with Majestic-2. Produced by H Anandappa under the Amma Enterprises banner, the film has now received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board and is gearing up for a November release.
This time, Bharath Kumar, son of senior producer Shilpa Srinivas, steps into the spotlight. Written and directed by Ramu, Majestic-2 is set to explore the life of a boy growing up in Bengaluru’s Majestic, a space defined by its grit, ambition, and underworld. The story moves through the alleys of crime and survival, reflecting on how a place can shape a person’s destiny.
Joining Bharath on screen is Sanhita Vinya, while Shruti plays the role of his mother. The film has been shot in and around Majestic, Ramoahalli, HMT, Sakre Adda near Makali, RT Nagar’s Nisarga House, and Murugha Math in Chitradurga.
According to the makers, the film is said to have a special hero introduction song featuring Malashree, filmed at RS Gowda Studio. On the technical front, Majestic-2 has music by Vinu Manasu, cinematography by Venus Murthy, and action choreography by Chinnayya.
While the sequel borrows its title from the original, it is said to be a standalone story.
