As Mahira-fame Mahesh Gowda prepares for the release of his new film Bili Chukki Halli Hakki across Karnataka on October 24, the project has already caught attention for its music and emotional theme. Former MP Pratap Simha, who recently spoke about the film, appreciated its message and the effort behind it.
Pratap Simha described Bili Chukki Halli Hakki as a film that manages to entertain while sharing an important story. He praised Mahesh Gowda for choosing to address the subject of stammering with honesty and care, a topic not often seen in mainstream cinema. “It is not easy to blend emotion with entertainment. But Mahesh seems to have done it sincerely. This film deserves to be watched and supported.”
He also pointed out how Kannada cinema has been seeing many creative films made with limited budgets. “Movies like Kantara, Kantara Chapter 1 and Su From Su have shown that new ideas and genuine effort can connect deeply with audiences. Bili Chukki Halli Hakki follows that same path with its fresh approach."
Speaking about the film’s theme, Pratap Simha said no one should be looked down upon for physical or health conditions. “Stammering is just another part of being human. The film reminds us to face life with confidence, courage and kindness,” he said as he wished Mahesh Gowda and his team success.
Produced under the Honnudi Productions banner, the film stars Kajal Kundar in the lead role, along with Veena Sundar, Ravi Bhat, Jahangir and Lakshmi Siddayya. The technical team includes Kiran C H M as cinematographer, Monish as editor and Rio Antony as the music composer and background score. The songs, written by Pratap Bhat and Mahendra Gowda and choreographed by Aditi Narayan and Raghu, have already received a good response.
