Amongst the various action sequences of Kantara: Chapter 1, the war sequence at the film's climax is an extensive one. Even though stunt director Todor Lazarov isn't new to war scenes, having worked on films like Troy (2004), the climax for Kantara: Chapter 1 had some unique additions.
In an interview with CE, Lazarov said, "The climax is different, but the essence is character building, and it’s about evolution. Rishab was clear that the drama had to intensify along with the action. To achieve that, I brought in around ten international stunt fighters from across the world, and hundreds of Indian stunt performers joined them. We spent 28 days shooting just the climax. It was massive."
Speaking about Rishab's narration for the film, the stunt director said, "He gave me the entire story arc, which helped me design the sequences as an extension of character rather than just stunts. That’s rare, and that’s what makes the film unique."
Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 will release in English, theatrically, and is on the path to cross Rs 800 crores for its box office collection.
