After years of anticipation, KP Poornachandra Tejaswi’s acclaimed novel Jugari Cross is finally heading to the big screen. Director Gurudatha Ganiga has taken on this challenging adaptation, which is all set to feature Raj B Shetty in the lead role. Gurudatha made his directorial debut with Ambi Ninge Vyasayatho and is currently preparing for the release of Karavalli.
Many filmmakers have tried to bring Jugari Cross to life over the years. Now, Gurudatha and Raj B Shetty are turning this long-held dream into a reality, and this has generated excitement among film lovers. The novel is known for its suspenseful narrative, layered storytelling, and twists that mix intrigue and danger.
Raj B Shetty is is known for his strong performances in Ondhu Motteya Kathe, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, and the recenetly released Su From So. His ability to take on unconventional roles makes him a great fit for Poornachandra Tejaswi’s intense storytelling.
The announcement featured a gripping teaser that hints at the film’s suspenseful world. The teaser shows head injuries, flowing blood, and glimmering red rubies, all set against a tense background score.
This project marks the second collaboration between Gurudatha Ganiga and Raj B Shetty, following their work on the soon-to-be-released Karavalli, which also stars Prajwal Devaraj. Jugari Cross adaptation has cinematography by Abhimanyu Sadanandan and music by Sachin Basrur.
