Rahul, who was earlier seen in small roles in Yuvarathna and Bagheera, is now stepping into playing the lead in the upcoming film Nee Nange Allava. The project is produced by Jayaram Devasamudra under the Suram Movies banner.
Though a BBA graduate, Rahul always nurtured dreams of entering cinema. He began his journey by attending auditions, training at Usha Bhandari’s acting classes, and completing a workshop before landing this role. For Rahul, this film marks a turning point and a significant break in his career.
A self-confessed fan of the late Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly known as Appu, Rahul recalls his joy at sharing screen space with the Power Star in Yuvarathna. “If Appu Sir was a man with a golden heart, Sriimurali is like an elder brother to me. I admire the way he has maintained his fitness,” says Rahul, who also worked alongside Sriimurali in Bagheera.
Nee Nange Allava is directed by Manoj P Nadulmane, known for his Anna, starring Aditi Prabhudeva. He is also choreographing the film’s action sequences. Music is composed by Suraj Jois. Producer Jayaram, who made his debut with Nidraadevi Next Door, has also announced a project with Chaithra Achar and another collaboration with Sriimurali.
The team has completed the talkie portions and the film is now in post-production. Touted as a middle-class story with family-friendly appeal, the makers are eyeing an early 2026 release. The official title announcement for Rahul’s debut film is expected soon.
