Simple Suni currently busy with his latest release, Gatha Vaibhava, his last musical romantic drama, Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe, starring Vinay Rajkumar, Mallika Singh, Swatishta Krishna, and Rajesh Nataranga, is all set to stream on Zee5 from November 21. The film, produced by Mysore Ramesh under the Ram Movies banner, had released in theatres on Valentine’s Day 2024, earning attention for its simple story, Vinay’s heartfelt performance, and a soundtrack that stayed with audiences till date.
Fans were quick to draw comparisons with Suni’s earlier charm in Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, where music, emotion, and humour coexisted effortlessly. In Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe, Suni’s signature style is visible throughout: every frame seems to pulse with melody, each moment carrying subtle humour and quiet emotion, giving the story a gentle, lingering charm.
Vinay Rajkumar plays Athishay, an aspiring music director in search of the voice that matches the rhythm of his heart. His quest is both whimsical and poignant. Mistaking the wrong person for his soulmate, he faces the added pressure of a childhood-arranged marriage, making his journey of love and self-discovery both humorous and deeply human. The supporting cast includes Rajesh Nataranga, Mallika Singh, and Swatishta Krishna, as female leads among other actors.
The music by Veer Samarth acts as the film’s emotional anchor, while cinematography by Karthik Sharma and Sabha Kumar, and editing is by Aadhi.
