Director Simple Suni’s upcoming film Gatha Vaibhava is set to release on November 14. The film stars Dushyanth and Ashika Ranganath, and has gained attention through its teaser and songs.
Kichcha Sudeep launched the trailer on Monday. Based on the glimpse offered by the trailer, Gatha Vaibhava follows the story of two souls whose connection spans eras. The hero (played by Dushyanth) emerges in a period‑action setting where legacy, destiny and power tug at every character. Sharing his thoughts on the cast and crew, Sudeep said, "Simple Suni is among the best directors in Kannada cinema. I haven’t had the chance to work with him yet, but I am sure that will happen. He shapes every frame carefully, and that level of detail is impressive. I am eagerly waiting to watch Gatha Vaibhava. Dushyanth and Ashika look wonderful on screen,” said Sudeep.
Speaking about Dushyanth, Sudeep added, “Dushyanth doesn’t need any acting tips from me. He speaks so well that I felt I should learn from him. The way he held the audience’s attention for ten minutes was impressive. Only later did I realise he is a politician’s son.”
Suni expressed his happiness about Sudeep’s support, and said, “It is an honour that Sudeep sir came for our trailer launch. Gatha Vaibhava is a very different film. We believe that strong word-of-mouth, along with support from stalwarts like Shivanna and Sudeep sir, will help the film have a good opening. The effort we’ve put in has been enormous, and this recognition motivates us further.”
Actor Ashika Ranganath said, “This event was possible because of our dear Sudeep sir. He always supports new ideas and young talent with genuine passion for cinema. Gatha Vaibhava is a special film. It was shot over a long period and feels like watching four stories in one. It has a unique storytelling pattern, and I hope audiences enjoy it.”
Lead actor Dushyanth added, “After eight years of effort, I am finally debuting. Having Sudeep sir’s encouragement means a lot. Working with Ashika and director Suni has been an amazing experience. Gatha Vaibhava is our dream project and I hope everyone supports us when the film hits the screens on November 14.”
The film also features Sudha Belawadi, Kishen Bilagali, and Krishna Hebbale. The music is by Judah Sandhy, and cinematography is by William David. Produced under Servegara Silver Screens and Suni Cinemas, Gatha Vaibhava blends romance, fantasy, and spiritual themes to create a unique cinematic experience for audiences.
