The teaser of Jockey 42, starring Kiran Raj, was released on Kannada Rajyotsava day, drawing attention from audiences and industry watchers alike. Kiran Raj, who has worked in both television and cinema, plays the lead role in this film directed by Gurutej Shetty. This marks the second collaboration between the actor and director, following their previous project, Ronny.

Produced by Bharathi Satyanarayana under Golden Gate Studios, the film is set against the backdrop of horse racing. The teaser features sequences involving hundreds of horses and a large supporting cast. Kiran Raj plays a dual role in the film, for which he underwent specific preparation to portray both characters effectively.

The talkie portions of the film have been completed, with only two songs remaining to be shot. While the official release date has not been announced, the team is reportedly targeting a Christmas release. This places Jockey 42 alongside two other big Kannada films, 45 and Mark, which have also confirmed release around the same period.

The technical team includes Vinod Yajamanya as music director, Raghavendra B Kolar handling cinematography, Umesh R B editing, and Satish serving as the art director. The female lead is Hrithika Srinivas, and the cast also features Deepak Rai Panaje, Rajendra Karanth, Madhusudhan, Shanthala Kamath, Bala Rajwadi, Yash Shetty, and Chetan Rai Mani.

Speaking about the project, Director Gurutej Shetty, who also wrote the story and screenplay, stated that while the film revolves around horse racing, it also includes elements of family, love, and action. He added that the collaboration with Kiran Raj has been smooth and productive, and the team is working steadily toward a planned festive-season release.
