Hombale Films — the production house behind blockbusters like KGF, Kantara, and Salaar — has officially announced a collaboration with one of Bollywood's superstars, Hrithik Roshan. While details remain under wraps, the announcement has fueled intense speculation, particularly regarding the film’s director. There has been a strong hint that the film will be a high-octane action thriller, aligning with both Hombale’s signature style and Hrithik’s penchant for physically demanding roles. Additionally, it has been reported that a South Indian director will be at the helm.
Now, the buzz is growing, with speculation tossing around names like Prithviraj Sukumaran, among others. However, Cinema Express has learnt that Prashanth Neel — the man behind the gritty KGF series and Salaar — is likely to wield the megaphone for this project. Though no names have been officially confirmed, the mention of a prominent South Indian filmmaker naturally places Prashanth Neel, a frequent Hombale collaborator, at the top of the speculation list.
Vijay Kiragandur, founder of Hombale Films, teased the epic scope of the venture in a social media post, stating:
“Our purpose is to tell stories that inspire and transcend boundaries. Partnering with Hrithik Roshan is a step forward in realising that vision, crafting a film where intensity meets imagination on a grand scale. We are committed to delivering an experience that is both powerful and timeless.”
Echoing that ambition, Hrithik Roshan added in a statement:
“Hombale has been home to some very unique stories over the years. I'm looking forward to partnering with them and delivering a cinematic experience for our audience. We are dreaming big, and committed to bringing the vision to life.”
While Hombale Films is currently preparing for the release of Kantara Chapter 1, directed by Rishab Shetty, Hrithik is gearing up for War 2. Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is currently directing Jr NTR in a film, reportedly titled Dragon.
With all eyes on this next big collaboration, the question remains: will Prashanth Neel join hands with Hrithik Roshan? The audience will have to wait and watch.
