
The city witnessed a star-studded splash of cinema and culture this week as the cast of Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated film Metro…In Dino made a lively stop in Bengaluru as part of their nationwide promotional tour.
Leading the charge were actors Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur, joined by singer Shashwat Singh, who lends his voice to the film’s soul-stirring soundtrack composed by Pritam. The visit blended glitz, gastronomy, and music, offering fans a vibrant preview of the film's emotional and rhythmic essence.
Sara Ali Khan, known for her spirited presence on and off-screen, kicked off the promotional activities with her signature shayari—playfully engaging co-star Aditya Roy Kapur in a rhyme-off that had fans and media alike smiling. The chemistry between the two stars was on full display, bringing wit and warmth to the event.
The pair also indulged in a culinary exploration of Bengaluru’s local delicacies, sampling crispy dosas, juicy kebabs, idlis, and a hearty serving of biriyani. Sara captured moments from the outing in a behind-the-scenes reel shared on social media, highlighting their foodie adventures and lighthearted banter. The quirky “rhyme jam” from their restaurant visit quickly won hearts online, adding a fun twist to the film’s promotions.
Metro…In Dino tells a multi-narrative story about love, loyalty, and the emotional threads that bind modern relationships. Sara and Aditya portray one of the four interwoven stories that form the heart of the film. Described as a soulful sequel to Basu’s Life in a… Metro (2007), this film explores the complexities of urban life and the serendipitous ways people connect in a fast-moving world.
