During the exclusive glimpse release of Ramayana, an invitation card bearing the signatures of the film’s cast and crew began making rounds on social media. While most stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, director Nitesh Tiwari, and others, signed in English, Yash stood apart, writing his name in Kannada. The understated gesture quickly went viral, drawing widespread praise from fans and Kannada-speaking audiences alike.
"Yash signs in Kannada even on a pan-India platform. That’s pride and identity," read one viral post on X. Another fan noted, “This is what it means to stay grounded.”
The recently released ~3-minute glimpse of Ramayana: The Introduction offers a visually stunning and high-concept preview of what is being called one of India’s most ambitious mythological films. It begins with cosmic visuals of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, transitioning into Ravana’s rise and Prince Rama preparing for a battle between dharma and adharma.
Yash, as a fierce and commanding Ravana, has drawn strong fan praise online, with many calling it his most powerful role to date. Ranbir Kapoor, portraying Lord Rama, appears calm, poised, and divinely graceful — creating a striking contrast.
The glimpse was launched across nine Indian cities and on New York’s Times Square billboard, reflecting the film’s global scale. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and co-produced by Yash and Namit Malhotra, the film includes top-tier talent like Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG, music legends AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, and Hollywood stunt experts Terry Notary and Guy Norris.
