Bhasi Bhaskar, a former professional cricketer, has made a remarkable transition to acting in both Kannada and Bollywood films. Known for his strong performances in several Kannada films, Bhaskar has recently stepped into the pan-India spotlight with Vrushabha, where he shares the screen with the legendary Mohanlal. Directed by Nandakishore, Vrushabha is expected to release this year, marking a major milestone in Bhaskar's acting career.
“Vrushabha was a special project for me. I play a doctor who treats Mohanlal’s character. Working alongside Mohanlal was a dream come true. Mohanlal's simplicity and grace reminded me of Rajkumar, and I feel proud about sharing the screen with him,” Bhaskar shares.
Bhaskar’s journey into films began unexpectedly. “It all started through friendships,” he explains. “When Vishnu sir came to our office, it opened doors to the film industry. After a director introduced me to drama, I trained for a couple of months, which led me to my first role in Veera Parampare, starring Ambareesh and Sudeep. From there, my film career took off.”
Beyond Vrushabha, Bhasi’s filmography includes notable roles in Salaga and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. “Salaga gave me a new milestone in my career, and I’m grateful to Duniya Vijay for that opportunity,” he says.
