For the first time, after almost a year, actor Darshan has shared a video message, opening up about his health issues, much to the concern of his fans. In the message, he explained the reasons behind his inability to meet his celebrities on his birthday (Feb 16). With immense gratitude, Darshan expressed his appreciation for the love and support he has received from his fans, while also revealing the health challenges that have prevented him from personally shaking hands and greeting everyone on this special occasion.
In his message, Darshan explained, "I don’t know how to return the love my fans have given me. I really wanted to meet everyone and thank them individually. I wanted to shake hands with all of you, but unfortunately, due to my health, I can't stand for too long." He went on to describe the severity of his situation, stating, "I have to take injections and undergo an operation soon, which needs attention."
Despite these challenges, Darshan thanked his producers for being patient with him and continuing to wait for his recovery. "The producers have waited for me, and I am grateful for their support. I also want to ask all my colleagues and fans to forgive me this time. I will meet and thank everyone soon, but I need to consult my doctor, especially because of my spinal cord problem, which everyone is aware of," he added.
Addressing rumours about his absence from the film industry, Darshan made it clear that he is not leaving his art. He mentioned his decision to return the advance payment given by Surparapa Babu, as he didn’t want to waste any more time on the project. Darshan also confirmed, "Prem and I will definitely do a film together, and as Rakshita is my close friend, I will do it."
Darshan took the opportunity to thank a few individuals who have supported him throughout his journey. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Danveerrah, Rachita Ram, and Rakshitha. His love for his Kannada roots also shone through when he declared, "I am born in Kodagu, where the river Kaveri rises, and I will only do Kannada cinema. I am committed to making Kannada films my priority, and I am grateful to everyone."
He concluded his message with a promise: "I will meet you all soon, and I don’t like just waving from a distance. I want to meet each one of you personally and thank you for your endless love and support."
