Kichcha Sudeep’s latest film, Mark, has premiered in theatres across Karnataka. It is gaining attention not just for its action scenes, but also for the challenges it has faced behind the scenes. From the beginning, piracy posed a threat to the film, and social media saw critics sharing videos of empty theatres. At a recent press meeting, Sudeep spoke about these issues. He also praised his daughter, Sanvi Sudeep, with his trademark honesty and humour.
Regarding the piracy problem, Sudeep shared, “Over 4,000 links have been deleted. Piracy began before the morning show even ended. We are taking all necessary steps to address it.”
He responded to the negative comments on social media in his usual straightforward way. “I have five fingers on my hand. Some people clap, encourage, and support us. Why should we waste time worrying about someone posting a random video? They might be hurting, but we should not lose sleep over them. Let’s focus on the love and support from fans across Karnataka. I won’t waste my time on trolls.”
Sudeep also expressed gratitude and reflection, noting, “So many people have cheered, encouraged, and supported us. If someone is angry or posts something negative, it shows their pain, not ours. Let’s leave it at that and celebrate the good.”
When the conversation took a personal turn, Sudeep praised his daughter. “My daughter, Sanvi, is stronger than me. She faces life fearlessly and grows every day. She has a better heart than I do, holds on tighter, and continues to impress with her talent. Many friends in the film industry and fans have already recognized her work. She truly makes me proud.”
Mark, directed by Vijay Kartikeya and produced by Tamil Satyajyoti Films and Kiccha Creations, has been doing well since its release on December 25. The film features music by Ajaneesh Loknath and stars Naveen Chandra, Yogi Babu, Guru Somasundaram, Deepshika, Roshini Prakash, Archana Kottige, and Ashwin Hassan.
