The countdown has officially started. With just 100 days until its global release on March 19, 2026, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has shifted gears once again. The film unveiled an eye-catching new poster and introduced the creative team behind one of India’s most anticipated films. In an industry always looking for fresh stories and bold ideas, Toxic is quickly becoming a title everyone is eager to see in 2026.

This 100-day marker is more than just a date on the calendar. It shows how far the project has come. The world of Toxic first began taking shape in early 2022 when Yash, fresh from the success of KGF Chapter 2, started dreaming up a dark, adult fairytale. What started as random notes written while traveling eventually evolved into a full story once filmmaker Geetu Mohandas joined the project. By late 2023, the script was finished, and pre-production began with a scale that proved Yash was ready to create a brand-new cinematic universe.

The new poster adds excitement to the buzz around the film. Yash is seen in a bloody bathtub, muscles tense, tattoos covering his body, his face turned away as a beam of light cuts through the scene. The image feels both alluring and brutal, private yet challenging. It’s the kind of image that fans stop to look at, analyse, and share over and over.

The film’s release coincides with a favorable festive season that includes Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid, giving Toxic a solid four-day holiday window.

Similar to how Hollywood studios reveal their department heads, the makers introduced the technicians who are shaping this gritty and imaginative world. Rajeev Ravi, a National Award winner, leads the cinematography. As previously reported, Ravi Basrur, the composer behind KGF, is composing the music and background score. Ujwal Kulkarni will be putting together the film’s complex structure. TP Abid is in charge of production design. To give it a global touch, JJ Perry, the Hollywood action director known for John Wick, has choreographed some of the film’s key action scenes.

This mix of Indian talent and international action style places Toxic in a unique position where regional filmmaking meets global ambition confidently.

The film is being shot simultaneously in English and Kannada. Yash and director Geetu Mohandas will also release it in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film represents a partnership based on instinct, ambition, and a willingness to take risks. Alongside Yash, the cast is expected to be star-studded, featuring names like Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and many others, although an official announcement is still pending.

With just 100 days left, Toxic enters its most critical phase, where anticipation sharpens into actual expectation. From its mysterious title to its striking poster imagery, every reveal so far indicates a project crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Fans can also look forward to a significant reveal on Yash’s birthday, January 8, before the film hits theatres this coming summer.
