Following the release of his recent film BAD, director PC Shekar has announced his next project, Mahan, starring Vijay Raghavendra in the lead role. The film was officially launched with the title unveiled by none other than actor Shivarajkumar.

Produced by Prakash under the Aakash Pictures banner in association with Alliance University, Mahan is set to explore themes centred around agriculture and the significance of farmers. Speaking at the title launch, Shivarajkumar expressed his admiration for the project. “I’ve seen a glimpse of Mahan, and it looks very promising. The title itself is meaningful and will connect with a wide audience. I wish the film great success,” he said.

Producer Prakash expressed gratitude to Shivarajkumar for unveiling the title and shared insights into the film’s message. “Mahan is a tribute to our farmers, the backbone of our society. The film represents their struggles and contributions. We are proud of our director PC Shekar, whose vision is bringing this story to life. I also believe Vijay Raghavendra is the perfect actor for this role—his strong connection with the audience will be key to the film's success.”

Lead actor Vijay Raghavendra also shared his thoughts, saying, “While Mahan is an entertaining film, it also carries an important message. It’s a story that will resonate with many, and I believe it will connect with people on a deeper level.”

The title Mahan reflects the central theme of the film, celebrating the greatness of farmers, who are rightfully regarded as the nation's food providers. Director Shekar confirmed that filming will commence soon, with more updates on the cast and crew to follow.
