On October 20, Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep faced a personal tragedy as he lost his mother. The following day, the actor took to his official X handle to share an emotional post, which explains his relationship with his beloved mother and recounts the moments that unfolded over the weekend leading to her passing. In his heartfelt message, Sudeep also expressed gratitude for those who reached out to him during this painful time.

Accompanied by a picture of himself with his late mother, Sudeep poured his heart out, saying, “My mother, the most unbiased, loving, forgiving, caring, and giving person in my life, was valued, celebrated, and will always be cherished.

He went on to explain:

Valued: "She was my true god, a divine presence in human form."

Celebrated: "She was my festival, my teacher, my truest well-wisher, and my first fan, even loving the worst of my work."

Cherished: "She is now a beautiful memory."

Struggling to express his grief, Sudeep confessed, "I have no words to describe the pain I feel right now. I cannot accept the void, nor can I come to terms with what has happened. Everything changed in just 24 hours."

In a recollection, he shared, "Every morning, her first message would buzz on my phone around 5:30 am with a ‘Good morning, Kanda.’ I received her last text on Friday, October 18. But the next day, I woke up at Bigg Boss and didn’t see her message for the first time in years. I sent her my morning text and thought of calling her to check if everything was alright. But the day got busy with Saturday’s episode discussions, and just before going on stage, I got a call saying she was hospitalised."

Sudeep described the fear and helplessness he felt, as he continued the shoot despite his growing concern. He credited his mother for teaching him to stay committed to his responsibilities, even amidst chaos. “I rushed to the hospital after the shoot, but by the time I arrived, she had been put on a ventilator. I never got to see her with consciousness again. She fought before finally giving in early Sunday morning.”

Reflecting on the suddenness of it all, he added, "Everything changed in just a few hours. I don’t know how to undo this or accept this reality. The one who gave me such a tight hug before I left for the shoot was gone within hours. It’s a harsh truth that will take time to sink in."

Sudeep expressed his deep sorrow but found solace in the belief that his mother had moved on to a place of peace. "My mother was a great soul, and I will miss her dearly. I know that yesterday, being an auspicious day, was God's and nature's choice to take her from this earth."

He concluded his post by thanking everyone who had shown their support, adding, "Rest well, Amma. I love you, and I miss you terribly."
