Kannada audiences have always been attracted to films that explore societal changes, and the recently released trailer for Anshu has sparked excitement. Anshu centers around a strong female lead, and the glimpse has piqued curiosity about the film’s core theme.
In Anshu, Nisha Ravikrishnan, popular for her role as Amulya in Gattimela, steps into a role that breaks away from her TV image. Directed by M.C. Channakeshava in his debut, Anshu opens with the line, “What we believe isn’t always true, and what we can't bear isn’t always a lie,” raising many questions. The trailer hints at a psychedelic thriller with a deep connection to contemporary societal issues.
Produced by Grahana LLP, Anshu is backed by Ratan Gangadhar, Sampath Shivashankar, and Krithi Nanayya, along with a few additional investors joining the project.
The film's cinematography is handled by Sunil Narasimhamurthy, while the music is composed by KC Balasarangan, who has worked with composers GV Prakash and Vidyasagar. Newcomer Vighnesh has composed the background score. Mahendra Gowda has written the dialogues and lyrics, with two songs already released and gaining popularity. Another song is set to be released soon as Anshu prepares for its release in November.
