Noted Kannada actor T. Thimmayya, known for his contributions to Kannada films, passed away on Saturday at the age of 92 following a heart attack. He is survived by his four children.

With a career spanning decades, T Thimmayya carved a unique space in Kannada cinema, sharing the screen with legends like Dr Rajkumar, Dr Vishnuvardhan, and Anant Nag. He worked under the direction of celebrated filmmakers such as Dorai-Bhagavan, Sunil Kumar Desai, Bhargava, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, and K V Jayaram, delivering performances that remain etched in the minds of audiences.

His extensive filmography includes iconic films such as Chelisuva Modagalu, Prathidhwani, Bandhana, Benkiya Bale, Kaamana Billu, Parameshi Prema Prasanga, Jwalamukhi, Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma, Karna, Ee Jeeva Ninagagi, Kurukshetra, Nishkarsha, and Beladingala Baale. Each role showcased his versatility and ability to connect deeply with the audience.

T Thimmayya was admired not only for his talent but also for his dedication to cinema, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire the Kannada film industry.

His final rites will take place on November 17 at the Banashankari Crematorium. The industry and fans mourn the loss of a fine actor.
