Vijay Kumar to play a detective in director S Narayan’s next
Shreyas Manju's upcoming film, helmed by veteran director S Narayan, is currently on floors. The film's cast has now become star-studded with Vijay Kumar joining the ensemble. Narayan and Vijay have previously collaborated on the blockbuster film Chanda (2007) and later teamed up again for Daksha (2015). This yet-to-be-titled film will be their third outing, and Shreyas will share space with Vijay for the first time. Director Narayan, who will resume shooting from today, exclusively revealed Vijay Kumar's role to us.
The Salaga actor will be portraying a detective in the film; his character being pivotal in elevating the story's impact. Narayan, who is behind the film's story, screenplay, and dialogues, promises a thought-provoking narrative with relatable themes set against a contemporary backdrop. The story aims to resonate with both parents and children.
With Brinda Acharya (Kousalya Supraja Rama) playing the female lead, this travel-based love story will be shot in places like Chickmagalur, Sakaleshpur, Virajpete, Kannur, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Belagavi, and Goa, among other locations. The film, produced by Thayagaraj under the Esha Productions banner, and co-produced by Manju and Ramesh Yadav, has music composed by Jassie Gift. PKH Dass is handling cinematography, and Shivaprasad Yadav is in charge of editing. The cast also includes Tara Anuradha, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sadhu Kokila, Pramod Shetty, Kalyani, Rangayana Raghu, Giri, Pavagada Manju, Jayaram, Sujay Shastry, and others.
Vijay is currently waiting for the release of Bheema, his sophomore project as a director, which is now ready to hit theatres. A probable release date will be announced soon after the election results. The actor is also part of Jadeshaa K Hampi's upcoming directorial, tentatively titled VK-29. The project is currently in production and also stars Raj B Shetty and Rachita Ram.
On the other hand, Shreyas is awaiting the release of Vishnu Priya. He has also signed up for another project titled Dildaar.
