Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa Srinivas is in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in connection to the Renuka Swamy murder case. Recently, director Tharun Kishore Sudhir, a friend and collaborator of Darshan, whom the latter often addresses as a brother and knows since the time of Navagraha, finally managed to visit the actor. Tharun has given Darshan some books. Reflecting on the encounter, Tharun, who directed Darshan in Chowka, followed by Roberrt and the latest blockbuster, Kaatera, noted the actor's composed demeanour and the familiar smile that graced his face even in adversity.
"I had been attempting to visit for weeks," Tharun explained, "Finally, with the necessary permissions secured, I managed to meet him." Tharun added that Darshan was calm and assured about his health, even as he was recovering from a minor fever.
Discussing matters beyond health, Tharun shared, "I brought along two books for Darshan sir—a poignant one about life and another detailing the exploits of Arjun's elephant." He conveyed a sense of mutual understanding, stating, "We didn't dwell on our films but rather talked in general and about the industry's current landscape."
Tharun is set to tie the knot with Roberrt actor Sonal Monteiro soon, and he also discussed this personal matter with Darshan. He said, "Darshan sir was aware of my plans with Sonal beforehand. He advised steadfastness, urging not to alter the wedding date." Reflecting on their interaction, Tharun expressed faith in Darshan's integrity, "I believe in their innocence and trust that justice will prevail."
As Tharun concluded, he hinted at forthcoming updates, promising, "More details about the marriage will follow soon." Alongside Tharun, MLA Darshan Puttannaiah and actor Yashas Surya also paid Darshan a visit.
