M Narasimhulu Elected as the new president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce

M Narasimhulu has been elected as its new president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce,for the 2024-25 term. The election, held on Saturday at the KFCC office, was organised using electronic voting machines under the guidance of the election officer. A total of 128 candidates from the producer, distributor, and exhibitor sectors contested, with 24 members securing their positions unopposed.

This year's election was particularly notable as the president's position was reserved for the exhibitor sector. The fierce competition saw Sunder Raj R, owner of Vajeshwari Cinema, face off against M Narasimhulu, owner of Vaibhavi Cinema. In a tightly contested race, Narasimhulu emerged as the victor with a significant margin, taking the helm as the new president.
With a total of 1409 voters participating in the election, members from all sectors—producer, distributor, and exhibitor—took part in the process. This year's elections also saw a surge in younger candidates, bringing fresh energy to the proceedings. With great enthusiasm, the members cast their votes, selecting the new team of office bearers for the chamber.
