Dhananjay and Shashank Soghal join hands for Jingo
Shashank Soghal, who made a memorable debut with the crowdfunded film Daredevil Musthafa, which was backed by actor Dhananjay, is now stepping into an exciting new project. The director, who garnered praise for his fresh storytelling and unique cinematic style in his first film, is set to direct the same actor who played a pivotal role in launching his career.
Shashank is taking the director's chair for an intriguing new project titled Jingo. The film is being produced under the banners of Daali Pictures and Trishul Visionary Studios. Jingo is said to be a bold and unconventional narrative, with Dhananjay stepping into the role of a provocative, war-supporting anti-hero.
The teaser for Jingo, released on Dhananjay's birthday, offers a glimpse of what’s in store. In a particularly bold twist, the protagonist, surrounded by a room filled with ballistic arms, chooses a microphone as his weapon of choice. This unexpected decision hints at a film that challenges traditional storytelling, blending satire and social commentary with the intensity of an anti-hero narrative.
With Shashank Soghal and Dhananjay exploring unconventional themes and daring storytelling, Jingo is poised to push the boundaries of Kannada cinema. The excitement is palpable as audiences eagerly await how this duo will bring their vision to life on the silver screen.
Dhananjay, who was last seen in Kotee, is currently working on Anna From Mexico and Uttarakhanda. He also has Zebra and a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, Halagali, and Nadaprabhu Kempegowda among other projects in the pipeline.
