Rachita Ram confirmed to star in Nagashekar's Sanju Weds Geetha II

We had mentioned that Director Nagashekar and Rachita Ram are in talks for Sanju Weds Geetha II, and the news has been confirmed now. The film marks her first collaboration with actor Srinagar Kitty. “When I was considering actors for this role, I had three names in mind, and Rachita Ram was certainly one of them,” shares Nagashekar in our exclusive conversation. He further added that Rachita’s past performances gave him the confidence to cast her for the role. Additionally, after the initial meeting, Rachita got genuinely interested in the script. “Rachita loved her role and has allocated sufficient dates, and has commited herself to the project.”

Interestingly, Ramya featured in the original film, Johnny Mera Naam Preethi Mera Kaam, while its sequel Johnny Johnny Yes Papa starred Rachita opposite Vijay and was directed by Preetham Gubbi. Similarly, in this second chapter of Sanju Weds Geetha, directed by Nagashekar, Ramya will be passing the baton to Rachita.

With the lead actors confirmed, the director plans to officially launch the film on August 15. Nagashekar also discloses that he is planning to approach Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan to play prominent roles and expresses his keen interest in bringing Tamannaah Bhatia on board for a special appearance.

“I have previously worked with Tamannaah in my Telugu debut, Gurutnda Seetakalam and I hope to have her be a part of Sanju Weds Geetha II. I will soon reach out to her,” he states. The film has cinematography by Sridhar Sambhram and music by Satya Hegde.
