Hombale Films is all set to captivate the audience once again with its upcoming cinematic creation, Kantara - A Legend, Chapter 1, following the tremendous success of their previous movie, Kantara, last year. The film garnered a lot of attention for its exceptional cinematography and performances, but the music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath was the most noteworthy feature. 

Speaking about what can be expected from the upcoming film, Ajaneesh Loknath said, "Kantara has set such a benchmark as a film that now lies the big task of composing befitting music. I don't feel pressured through because this is a task I consider divine. The songs will follow a storytelling format and be a perfect blend of folklore and classical. I have used Pavani raga as one of the main themes. Since daiva is involved, we will operate well within rules and regulations to present the music."

Kantara Chapter 1, the precursor to Kantara's immersive folklore journey along coastal Karnataka, aims to further captivate the audience. The film is mostly Set in the 3rd to 5th Century AD. The film's narrative explores the Kadambas' reign in North Karnataka and present-day Uttara Kannada.

Kantara Chapter 1 is eagerly awaited for its release next year and is expected to intrigue audiences across seven languages. Filming of the project is scheduled to commence at the end of December.

While the cast remains undisclosed, Arvind S Kashyap returns as the cinematographer, and Banglan is the production designer. Pragathi Shetty, Rishab's wife, will once again return as the film's costume designer.

Meanwhile, Hombale Films is gearing up for the grand release of Salaar Part 1: CeaseFire, which features Prabhas along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu. Made under the direction of Prashanth Neel, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. The film will be released in theatres on December 22nd, 2023.
