This news has cast a shadow of sorrow over the entire Kannada film industry. Speaking to the media, Sriimurali, the visibly distraught brother of Vijay Raghavendra, shared, "My brother called me and informed me that attige (sister-in-law, Spandana) had travelled to Bangkok along with her cousins, and Anna (Vijay Raghavendra) had joined them after completing his shooting schedule. After spending time with everyone, she went to bed but did not wake up. We believe it could be due to low blood pressure, and we will await further details upon their return." The family previously experienced the loss of Puneeth Rajkumar, who had also succumbed to cardiac arrest.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, and several other prominent figures have expressed their heartfelt condolences to Spandana's family through various social media platforms.
