SS Rajamouli has tweeted in praise of late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar's dream project, Gandhada Gudi. The film's teaser was released recently on the occasion of Puneeth's mother, Parvathamma Rajkumar’s birth anniversary.

Gandhada Gudi, envisioned by Puneeth Rajkumar with wildlife photographer and filmmaker, Amoghavarsha JS, aims to showcase the glory of Karnataka. It features Puneeth along with its director setting off on an adventure to explore Karnataka's forests, beaches, and underwater world.

Sharing the title teaser, Rajamouli wrote that Gandhada Gudi will certainly be an honest and heartfelt tribute to Puneeth. Along with wishing the team luck, the RRR director also added that Puneeth's noble dream of making a documentary to celebrate the glorious land of Karnataka is remarkable.

Gandhada Gudi is bankrolled by PRK Productions headed by Puneeth's wife Ashwini in association with Mudskipper. Incidentally, a 1973 film on the same name was the first Indian film on forest conservation ever, and it starred Puneeth's father Dr Rajkumar in it.

Gandhada Gudi has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Pratheek Shetty. It is currently in the post-production phase and will be released in 2022.
