Dollars Pete introduces a new set of artists and technicians making their mark in the Kannada film industry. The makers, who have completed shooting, released the teaser on Monday.  

Mohan N Muninarayanappa, an assistant director of films like Murphy and Madagaja, is making his directorial debut with Dollars Pete.

The teaser reveals an exhilarating story of a robbery, featuring intense action, gunfire, and a menacing villain. Director Mohan, who spoke to CE on the sidelines of the teaser release revealed the inspiration behind Dollars Pete. “We based the story on a real incident that occurred in a bank in Tamil Nadu, along with scams like voice vishing that affected retired police officer Shankar Bidari. We scripted the story with imaginary characters, including a frustrated manager burdened with handling the bank, a fearful new clerk, and a pregnant assistant manager grappling with her own problems. There are other characters to add complications to the narrative.”

The film, with a gripping hyperlink thriller storyline, features Soumya Jagan Murthy, Akarsh Kamala, and Venkat Raju in the lead roles. Prithvi Ambaar makes a guest appearance in the film.

The rest of the cast includes Duttu, Kaushal, Raghavendra, Honnavalli, and Mahendra. Pooja TY has produced the film under the Pentrix Entertainment banner, with music direction by Sooraj Jois. The cinematography is handled by Anand Sundaresh, while Mahesh Togatta takes care of the editing.
