After two successful directorials with the comedy-drama Ondu Motteya Kathe and gangster period film, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Raj B Shetty's third outing is set to be in the romantic genre.

"Every exchange of a human being will shape up their life. Even if we don't recognise the impact, it will definitely leave an imprint on each person. I always see a relationship like that. I was always in a space where two people meet in the strangest way possible, and there is a change in each of them. It might be the weather that brings the change. It might be what was said. That's the idea behind the title Swathi Muthina Male Haniye," says Raj.

How did Ramya come into the picture? "We are unconventional people, and there lies the beauty of this pairing. I didn't see anybody else, who could bring in so much to this character. Secondly, Ramya wanted to make a comeback, and she felt this space was best for her," he explains.

Talking about the women in his life, and their impact on his thinking, Raj says, "I was raised by my mother, and she guided my moral structure. I'm proud to say that I'm more feminine in nature, and that is probably why I connect with women a lot better. Even with Swathi Muthina Male Haniye and Ramya, I feel the collaboration is even more special because of our nature. She is such a big star, and I was doing something new in this film. We are an unconventional collaboration that is placed together in the right space, and I think we can bring in a new and beautiful colour to the art we will be putting out together.," he says.
