On Saturday, Anupam Kher announced that his part in the production of his Swedish-Belgian film, Out of Fashion, has been wrapped. It marks the 556th film in Anupam Kher's career and is directed by Jens Jonsson based on a Sunil Munshi screenplay. Sunil Munshi also features in the cast, alongside international actors such as Helena Bergstrom, Bahar Pars and Krista Kosonen.
Reflecting on his experience shooting the film, Anupam Kher wrote, "I’ve had the most wonderful time in Stockholm, working creatively and sharing these days with an extraordinary group of people! Talented artists, award-winning professionals and a truly remarkable crew. It may have been cold outside, but there was so much warmth in every heart: love, affection, respect and generosity. I came here to make a film, and I ve made special memories too. That is something I’ll carry with me long after the cameras stop rolling."
Calling it "a very special film" for him, the actor expressed his gratitude to Sunil Munshi for his "brilliant script" and "equally brilliant performance" in it. He also thanked Jens Johnson for his "kindness and extraordinary direction." The upcoming film is produced by Julia Gebauer and Siri Hjorton Wagner. Anupam Kher called them "the bestest producers," who brought the project to him.
The actor also shared that he will be with the cast and crew "emotionally," if not physically, as they prepare for four more weeks of shoot for the film. "Go for it, give it your all, and make something wonderful without me too," the actor shared before conveying his wishes for the film's success and opining that it "will travel far and touch people deeply."
Anupam Kher already has international credits thanks to his involvement in titles such as Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices, Lust, Caution, The Other End of the Line, Silver Linings Playbook, A Family Man, The Big Sick, and Hotel Mumbai.
