The title of director Ashok Kadaba’s upcoming Kannada film, Kirunage, was officially unveiled by Lakshmi Govindaraju, daughter of the legendary actor Dr Rajkumar, along with SA Govindaraju. The event was also graced by former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

Produced by Latashree DC under the Harshini Cinemas banner, Kirunage stars Vijay Raj and Khushbu in lead roles. Speaking about the project, Ashok revealed that Kirunage, his sixth directorial venture, is rooted in the romance genre and explores an unusual emotional conflict in which children sacrifice their love for their parents' happiness. Adding to its uniqueness, the first half of the film unfolds entirely against the backdrop of a wedding household.

The filming of the film has wrapped up, and it was shot across Bengaluru, Udupi, Vijayapura, Mumbai, and Goa, with post-production progressing briskly.

Television actor Vijay Raj makes his debut as a leading man in Kirunage, opposite Khushbu. The cast also features Srish, veteran actor Shruti, Bollywood actor Raju Kher (Anupam Kher's brother), as well as Sangeetha, Moogu Suresh, Sudha Belawadi, and Manjunath Hegde.

The film produced by Latashree DC has music composed by Sukrut, who has previously worked with AR Rahman, while Nagarjuna Sharma has penned the songs.
