Farhan Akhtar is ecstatic as the projects he backs as a producer, titled Boong, has made the eight-film shortlist for a BAFTA award in the Children's and Family Film category. "Boong's journey just reached a beautiful milestone," Farhan wrote in his Instagram Stories, followed by a three fingers emoticon that represents 'I Love You'. The film, which marks Lakshmipriya Devi's directorial debut, stars Gugun Kipgen, Bala Hijam, Angom Sanamatum, and Vikram Kochhar.
Also part of the shortlist are films such as Arco, Elio, How to Train Your Dragon, Grow, Lio and Stitch, Zootropolis 2, and Little Amelie. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has chosen these films out of the 14 submissions for the award consideration. A jury will decide on the longlist, the nominees and the winner in the category.
