JioHotstar has launched a new microdrama feature as part of its website and app, titled Tadka. As part of the rollout, more than 100+ microdramas have been unveiled.
This new feature is part of a larger foray by institutions in the film industry into the micro drama format. Titles like Mitti Ka Sher and Rukega Nahin Saala have been released with close to 30 episodes each. Each episode is a few minutes each, with the story progressing quickly.
In Tamil, titles like Appa Logic Magan Magic andd Miss Delulu in Chennai have been released. This will also consist an average of 35 episodes each.
Meanwhile, JioHotstar has also been adding artificial intelligence based capabilities in the app. It has entered into a partnership with OpenAI, and recently unveiled a voice search feature that gives users AI driven results. This feature is for users to search for titles based on their current mood.
