Blackpink-fame Lisa, who is currently flying high with her own solo recording career, is all set to feature in a documentary about her life and rise to stardom across the world. The documentary film, which will be directed by Sue Kim, is currently in production at Sony Music Vision.

The news was announced during a programme organised by Sony Music Vision to announce the list of music films it has in the slate. While Kim opened up about her movie about Lisa, director Baz Luhrmann also shared that he has an Elvis Presley documentary in the rough-cut stage and director Frank Marshall revealed a few minutes from his Barbra Streisand documentary that he has in development.

Kim, whose previous works include A24's The Last of the Sea Women, said she worked with Lisa for over a year regarding the documentary. This is not the first time she is diving deep into K-pop culture as she was already an executive producer on Apple TV+'s K-Pop Idols docuseries.

In a statement, Lisa said, "This has been such an incredible year and I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to capture these special moments on film and share the experience with my fans. Working with Sue Kim has been such a joy. We've been all around the world together and I know this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come."

"There have been so many moments on her journey that I think will surprise people and give a glimpse into her world that no one’s ever seen before. I’m excited for viewers to watch the film and witness this extraordinary moment in her life," said Kim, stating that following Lisa in this "transformative and thrilling" year has been a "true honor and a cinematic gift."

The upcoming documentary is backed by Tremolo Productions in association with Salt Water Productions and LLOUD CO. Morgan Neville, Caitrin Rogers, and Courtney Crockett serve as producers.
