Once Upon a Star and Thirteen Lives star Sukollawat Kanarot has been tapped for a lead role in the science-fiction horror film There’s Something Wrong With the TV, reports Variety. The project, which is in pre-production, is set to release early next year. Lertsiri Boonmee, Sathanapong Limwongthong, and Vutichai Wongnophadol are attached to direct the film. Its plot revolves around a teenager and his friend who find a mysterious, old TV set below the staircase. When turned on, the television shows four kids, who seem to be under captivity by sinister forces. Kanarot is set to portray the teenager's father, who enlists himself to aid in getting the kids out of the mysterious universe inside the television, unbeknownst to the wickedness of the appliance.
Speaking about the project, producer Hans Audric Estialbo of Night Edge Pictures stated, "Horror and sci-fi are two of the most profitable genres in the market, and we couldn’t be more excited to produce There’s Something Wrong With the TV along with other international partners."
