Italian filmmaker Francesca Archibugi, of The Hummingbird fame, will direct sex-trafficking drama Illusion with Jasmine Trince, of the Supersex fame, playing the lead.
Jasmine and Francesca have already collaborated in historical drama series La Storia, made in 2024. The miniseries was made based on Elsa Morante's 1974 novel of the same.

The investigation is triggered after a 16-year-old Rosa Lazar, who according to the makers is "dressed like a Dior supermodel," is on the brink of death in a ditch on the outskirts of Italy's Perugia.
The other members of the cast are Michele Riondino, Angelina Andrei and Vittoria Puccini. Illusion, directed by Archibugi wrote the screenplay with Italian screenwriters Francesco Piccolo and Laura Paolucci, will go on floors on March in Central Italy at a budget of around $8 million.
Archiburgi recently made The Hummingbird, starring Pierfrancesco Favino and Berenice Bejo, which was launched in 2023 at Toronto.
