The Gringo Hunters, Netflix's new series, has gone on floors, and eleven new actors have joined its cast. The cast now includes José María Yazpik, Sebastian Roché, Harold Torres, and Mayra Hermosillo.

The series takes place in Mexico and is predominantly in Spanish, but there are some English portions as well. The cast forms a group of Mexican cops in pursuit of an American murder suspect who flies to Mexico. According to Deadline, it shows the real circumstances surrounding the International Liaison Unit, as well as the intrigue and challenges stemming from such a law enforcement operation.

The Washington Post was the first publication to report about the series in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Deadline also reported that The Gringo Hunters would premiere on Netflix next year.

In an interview with Deadline, Francisco Ramos, VP of Netflix's Latin American Content, said, “Our commitment to the best Mexican stories and creators is clearly reflected in The Gringo Hunters. Our producers have put together a very strong cast and crew. Partnering with Imagine Entertainment has been a very enriching experience. I’m sure our subscribers will find The Gringo Hunters thrilling."

The series is being directed by Alonso Álvarez, Adrián Grünberg, Natalia Beristáin, and Jimena Montemayo. It is being produced by Redrum and Woo Films, alongside Imagine Entertainment, and in association with The Washington Post. Netflix is yet to reveal the team of writers for the project.
