Marathi film Baipan Bhaari Deva, directed by Kedar Shinde released on Disney+ Hotstar, the makers announced on Tuesday. Written by Vaishali Naik, the film stars Rohini Hattangadi, Vandana Gupte, Sukanya Kulkarni, Nutan Aasgaonkar, Suruchi Adarkar, and Suchitra Bandekar in pivotal roles. The film turned out to be a box-office hit when it was released in theatres on June 30, 2023.
The film tells the story of 6 estranged sisters who are forced to reunite for a competition as part of a festival. Speaking of the OTT release, Director Kedar Shinde said in the press release, “Directing Baipan Bhaari Deva was truly a remarkable experience that holds a special place in my heart. With the film now on Disney+ Hotstar, I can’t wait to see the magic of Baipan Bhaari Deva reach a wider audience and transcend linguistic boundaries.”
Actor Rohini Hattangadi spoke about the film in the press note, “Portraying the character of Jaya in Baipan Bhaari Deva has been a uniquely special experience for me. Among the many dramas I have been a part of, Baipan Bhaari Deva holds a special place. I relate to this story on a personal level, and the bond with my co-actors has transformed into a sisterhood.”
